Tulips will keep growing in the vase, thus the need for extra support for their necks. Select a tall vase or trim the stems to fit. Avoid overcrowding the vase; it may be necessary to separate the stems into two containers. Tulips require only a small amount of water in the vase. Use fresh tap water at room temperature. Add flower food to the water for longer vase life, but make sure to keep it clear. For freshness, cut the stems in a 45-degree angle every few days, and remove any foliage that falls below the water line. Keep away from fruit bowl or direct sunlight to preserve their beauty.
